Why 20% is the magic percentage

When shopping online for a Vitamin C Serum, maximum tissue levels are obtained when a product offers 20% L-ascorbic acid. Any amount higher or lower than 20% is not an optimal concentration. You will see some companies market their serums at 20%. But, they may be using other acid combinations to get to that level.

The L-ascorbic acid in our serum is exactly 20%. Our additional ingredients are used to enhance the product's stability and performance.

Check the pH

pH: Many Vitamin C preparations are not pH adjusted for optimal biologic activity and penetration. The optimal pH of an L-ascorbic acid formula is between 2.5 - 3.0. Anything higher than pH 3 can reduce the ability to penetrate efficiently and lose the overall effectiveness of the vitamin. Anything lower than pH 2.5 can cause irritations and very dry skin.

Directions for use: 

Vitamin C Serum is best used as a morning application, as it helps to prevent UVA/UVB damage. Cleanse skin. Dispense several drops onto the palm of your hand and dip your index finger into the fluid. Massage into the skin and allow thorough absorption before applying makeup or sunscreen. When used with our Advanced Hyaluronic Serum, the combo makes a dynamic anti aging duo.

Purified water, l-ascorbic acid 20% (vitamin c), ethoxydiglycol, glycerin (veg.), propanediol, hyaluronic acid, panthenol (pro-vitamin b5),  sodium PCA, laureth-24,  tocopherols (vitamin e), polysorbate 20, phytic acid, triethanolamine, sodium citrate, aminopropyl ascorbyl phosphate, phenoxyethanol,  polysaccharide gum, caprylyl glycol, lactic acid, potassium sorbate.

Cautions and Considerations when Using 20% Vitamin C Serum

Always use a sunscreen of SPF 30+ when using acidic products. This product will last 4-6 months when stored in a cool dry place.
